The
Victory Systems Mini-UAV is a small, lightweight, low cost UAV designed for
government and commercial use. The aircraft typically comes in sizes ranging
from 6 inches to 2
feet. Size choice is based on payload desired, along with the range
and endurance requirements. The UAV weights only a few ounces, but can carry
a payload ranging from 2 to 16
ounces depending on wingspan chosen. The aircraft can come equipped
with a variety of engines: electric, heavy fuel or a typical model aircraft
engine.
The aircraft has won many competitive awards in
both heavy lift and surveillance missions. Several sizes are currently being
flown. The smallest is the most nimble and the largest is the easiest to learn
on. A first level flight augmentation system is included to simplify flight
operations. This will migrate to an autonomous system with GPS waypoint control
and autopilot. After this upgrade, there will be an option for multiple Mini-UAV
aircraft to fly in formation and execute their mission without operator intervention.
Everything comes in one briefcase. The UAV can
be flown using the display or a set of glasses that give you the feeling of
being actually on board the aircraft. If you are using the electric motor choice,
the case can be equipped with the ability to plug in and recharge the UAV.
